Orlando Farias, is one of Argentina most prominent young dancers, and will be in New York for the very first time and only for a few days. Together with Annatina, he will teach a series of interesting workshops on Friday March 13th and Sunday March 15th. Here below is the schedule:
(please note that the workshops will be held at two different venues)
Friday March 13th - At Ripley Grier Studio, 520 8th Avenue, 16th Floor (between 36th and 37th streets)
7-8:30PM - Elements of traditional tango with adornments appropriate for a social dancing:
Walking exercises
Posture and technique
Interesting figures to dance in small spaces
8:30-10PM - Milonga lisa y traspie:
Rhytmic Exercises
Group technique (“cadencias” and adornments)
Figures of milonga
Figures of milonga traspie
Sunday march 15th at American Ballroom Dance Studio (ex Pierre Dulaine) 25 West 31st Street, Fourth Floor, (between 5th and Broadway )
5:30 - 7PM Harmony in the dance
7-8:15PM Chacarera - Traditional argentine folk dance. Learn how to dance this fun dance.
1 Workshop $35, 2 workshops in the same day/couples $60
